Motivating the Reluctant Learner

As our most requested workshop, this program has already reached more than 1000 teachers. This entertaining and highly interactive workshop includes "a touch of magic" and is loaded with research-based "use tomorrow" strategies for kindergarten through college classrooms. Teachers are given application strategies and information needed to plan for motivation, maintain student engagement, and create an ideal motivational classroom climate. Specific examples of reluctant learner behaviors are tackled with preventative and reaction strategies that are both modeled and practiced in an interactive presentation forum. This workshop has improved student time-on-task and decreased classroom disruption for its past participants and would readily bring these enhancements to additional classrooms. Materials provided also include the white paper "Motivating the Reluctant Learner" by Robert Barwa, Ed.D.
