Using Peer Coaching to Improve Instruction

Peer coaching is a highly effective form of continuous staff development in which staff members work together, throughout the school year to help each other implement and perfect best practices. This workshop prepares teachers to work in collaborative groups to visit each others classrooms to gather data on the instructional strategies and to share that data to improve instruction. The technique is highly effective in reducing the isolation often felt by teachers, improving professional communication among professional staff members, and easing the implementation of best instructional practices in classrooms. Participants receive a Peer Coaching Manual as a part of the workshop.
